An achievement is not an unlock recipe
Steam’s official achievements identify wins as the Ibex and Rhino. This confirms those named playable identities; a victory achievement does not tell you the steps required to unlock a character.

Read the actual locked entry
In your game, record the character name, displayed requirement and any progress indicator. Keep the exact wording when comparing it with a guide. A condition for a variant or cosmetic should not be assumed to unlock the base character.
Check one condition at a time
Choose one visible requirement, complete the relevant activity and check whether progress changes. If it does not, record the game version and mode. Do not invent an unseen requirement from a single failed attempt or a global achievement percentage.
Progression is being revised
The October 19 developer roadmap discusses progression improvements for November. That makes a dated unlock guide especially important. We do not publish a complete unlock table, XP threshold or fastest-character claim without a source for each condition.
