Healing can have a cost

The official description says injuries persist through the struggle and potions can relieve pain while adding worse afflictions. It also mentions surgery. That establishes a trade-off, not a universal instruction to take or avoid a specific treatment.

Write a two-column decision

Before choosing, identify the immediate problem and the effect the option promises. Then read its downside separately. Ask whether the team can still move, attack and survive with that downside during the next encounter. Do not assume a positive-looking skill cancels every related penalty.

Keep combinations observable

When several skills or conditions interact, change one choice at a time where possible. Record what was displayed before and after. Separate a temporary combat state from an injury or longer-term progression reward; the same icon color does not establish the same duration.

When the result is unclear

Keep the exact effect names and game version with the note. We have not verified a full affliction table, surgery price list or optimal skill combination, so no undisclosed numeric effect is supplied here.
