Look up one obstacle at a time

  1. Write the question first: a missing connection, a collectible or a route to a named location.
  2. Start with only the relevant marker category visible. Leave later areas hidden if you want to minimize spoilers.
  3. Compare your current room and neighboring exits before following a distant marker. Similar-looking rooms can make an otherwise correct marker misleading.
  4. Record the required movement ability or route condition separately from the marker. A visible destination is not proof you can reach it yet.
  5. After visiting, mark the result in the map you use. Keep a backup if the service offers export; progress storage differs between tools.

Use patches to explain mismatches

Team Cherry’s Patch 5 added a Pale Lake bench for a particular stage of the Flea Caravan progression and revised some translations. An old route screenshot can therefore differ from the current game even if the author originally recorded it correctly.

When to switch from a map to a guide

A marker answers where. It often cannot explain a quest prerequisite or a combat problem. If the route ends at a locked interaction, look for the named quest or item rather than adding more map markers. This page does not claim that either community map is complete for every patch.
