Two progression questions to keep separate

The official description connects eating and increased body size with sinking deeper. It also says caught fish can grow in an aquarium and evolve. Those are different goals: access to new water is not itself evidence that a particular fish has met an evolution requirement.

Choose one goal for the next session

Our suggested approach is to name the outcome before spending a resource. “Reach a new area” and “understand this fish’s next requirement” need different observations. If you try to solve both at once, it becomes harder to tell which action made a difference.

GoalRecord before actingConfirm afterward
Explore deeperCurrent location and the visible access requirementWhether the destination is actually reachable
Track one aquarium fishIts displayed name, stage and available actionWhether the displayed state changed
Evaluate an evolution optionThe current requirement and any stated costThe result shown after confirmation

Check the current requirement before committing

Read the entire action description and confirmation. If it does not explain what changes or what you give up, leave the action pending while you look for clarification through the creator’s official links. This guide supplies no hidden recipe or assumed timer.

For your own comparison, take a note before and after one action. Keep the same fish as the subject; comparing two different fish can mix rarity, stage and other unknown differences. A visible size change alone does not tell you why the change occurred.

What counts as useful progress?

A useful session leaves you with a confirmed change or a clearer next condition. Record “reached the area,” “the displayed stage changed,” or “the requirement still says X.” Avoid recording an expectation as a completed result.

If capturing the fish is still the obstacle, return to the aiming and reeling guide before planning a distant evolution route. There is no verified universal depth or growth schedule in the official description we checked.
