Build for the next problem

ATLUS describes fourteen Archetype lineages branching into more than forty Archetypes, with follower bonds helping awaken and strengthen them. That gives a useful reason to plan a party rather than copy a single-character ranking: a strong damage dealer still needs the rest of the group to handle the encounter’s other demands.

Start with the fight that is actually blocking you. Write down whether you are missing an attack type, recovery, a useful support effect or simply a reliable way to survive long enough to act. A build becomes easier to evaluate when it has one specific job.

Check inheritance on the character who will use it

Samurai Gamers’ community guide describes spending MAG to inherit skills the character has already learned. Costs differ between skills, and another character needs a separate purchase. Its example is Seeker rank 4 learning Tarukaja before that skill can be inherited. Check the current screen before spending; learning a source Archetype and assigning an inherited skill are separate steps.

Spend MAG to fix a gap

Compare the benefit you expect from an inherited skill with the action it replaces. A second recovery option might be useful when the main healer is occupied; another damage type might matter more if your party already stays healthy. These are planning examples, not a universal skill order.

Before confirming, review the receiving character, skill availability, displayed cost and open inheritance slots. Keep enough resources for the plan you intend to use next. An attractive late-game setup is a future target, not evidence that every prerequisite is available now.

Keep Royal Archetype targets in a separate column

If a guide recommends a Royal Archetype you have not unlocked, record its requirements as a longer-term goal. Do not replace your current setup with an incomplete imitation. Test one available change first and keep a short note of what improved or remained difficult.

Our worksheet is deliberately a party-planning method. It does not simulate damage, validate every unlock path or produce a tested tier list. For follower availability and the time required to work toward a goal, use the calendar guide alongside it.
