Check which level the reward belongs to
The launch guide separates player levels 1–55 from DMZ levels 1–70. DMZ XP also contributes to the overall player track; Multiplayer and Warzone XP do not increase the DMZ level. A weapon or operator progression screen is another context, so identify the reward’s track before deciding where to earn XP.

Classic or Regular Prestige?
The choice returns at each new player Prestige. Decide whether keeping the loadout available matters more to your next session than the Classic bonuses.
| Choice after completing level 55 | What changes |
|---|---|
| Classic | Resets level unlocks and Create-a-Class progress; adds a 20% XP boost, a Permanent Unlock Token and bonus cosmetics. |
| Regular | Restarts at level 1 while retaining level unlocks and Create-a-Class content. |

Make the reset decision before a group session
Suppose your group has agreed to use a particular setup tonight. Before choosing a reset, list the items that setup depends on and compare them with the confirmation screen. If you want to rebuild from the start, set aside a session for that progression instead of discovering the reset’s effect while friends are waiting.
This is a planning example, not a ranking of the two paths. The better choice depends on whether you enjoy rebuilding or want to keep using a familiar loadout. The visible reward list should settle what you receive; this page does not estimate hours to Prestige.
Use a Permanent Unlock Token with a specific goal
A Classic token keeps one eligible Level Unlock item available. Before spending it, identify an item you repeatedly miss after resetting and check that the selection screen accepts it. Avoid choosing solely because a guide calls something “meta”; a token is more useful when it supports a setup you intend to play.

A locked-looking item may need a version check
The October 23 patch addresses Military Camos and Apex Attachments appearing locked again after weapon Prestige. It also clarifies that player and weapon Prestige cannot be entered while matchmaking is searching. The developer notes that some seasonal attachments seen in the Beta will return later.

Record the mismatch without resetting again
Use that record to distinguish a display issue from an unmet requirement. If the current screen and official description still disagree, keep the evidence for support instead of repeatedly spending tokens or resetting progress to test a guess.
| Write down | Example of useful detail |
|---|---|
| Track and item | Player reward, DMZ unlock, weapon attachment or camo. |
| Displayed state | Locked, available, equipped or not visible. |
| Action just taken | Completed a match, changed mode or entered Prestige. |
| Version and requirement | Current game build and the exact requirement shown. |
