Separate joining from playing

Mycopunk supports four-player co-op, but a problem after loading into a mission is different from failing to connect at all. First record whether you reached the lobby, loaded the level, could move and could interact. The October 23 notes describe specific fixes; they are not a live service-status report.

Use a small diagnostic sequence

Check that the update has finished installing before repeating the same session. Then change one condition at a time. Testing a fresh lobby and an in-progress lobby, for example, gives a clearer result than reinstalling the game and changing several input devices at once.

  1. Write down the installed game version and the exact symptom.
  2. Note whether you were host or joined another player.
  3. Record the mission and whether objectives were completed before you joined.
  4. If the issue concerns controls, note all connected input devices.
  5. Repeat only the affected action and keep the result with your notes.

Check for competing inputs

If keyboard movement behaves strangely while a controller is attached, a useful isolation test is to compare with only the intended device connected. Reconnect it afterward if you use it. This is an editorial diagnostic suggestion, not a recommendation to reset your bindings or remove a device driver.

Avoid changing sensitivity, bindings and controller settings together. If the symptom disappears, you otherwise will not know which change mattered. The patch’s input fix should not be generalized to every aiming, connection or latency problem.

Distinguish missing sound from missing damage

An inaudible weapon can make an encounter feel broken, but sound alone does not show whether a shot registered. Note what you could observe: animation, visible impact, the host’s view and whether other sounds continued. Do not report an inferred cause as if it were established.

Send a reproducible description

A short report can follow this structure: “Version __, joined/hosted __ mission, objective state __, input devices __, expected __, observed __.” Add a short clip if it shows the issue clearly. Keep the lobby and mission context, since these fixes depend on when a player entered the session.

If the same symptom persists after updating, the note is still useful evidence of the developer’s intended behavior. It is not proof that the issue is resolved for your particular session.
