Level cap, equipment and mage changes in 1.0
Keep player levels, equipment upgrades and spell progression separate.
The new progression reference
These are changes documented in the 1.0 changelog. They are not a damage ranking or a promise that a particular upgrade is available immediately on a new character.
| System | 1.0 documentation |
|---|---|
| Character level | Maximum 50. |
| Fully upgraded equipment | Maximum 55. |
| Magic | Nine new spell types; eternal versions across spell types. |
| Wands | Heavy attacks and additional aiming options. |
| Building skill | Airborne Architect enables free-flying building. |
Audit a returning build
This audit is an editorial decision aid. We have not measured spell damage, tested a best build or verified unlock recipes. For a missing character, use the save guide instead of reallocating points on a replacement save.
- Check unspent skill points before judging your old build. Existing trees reset on the first 1.0 load.
- Write down the one role you want to improve: survival, single-target damage, crowd control or building convenience.
- Read current skill and equipment text before reallocating. Compare a single change against that role.
- For a mage, distinguish a missing spell, an unavailable eternal variant and an under-upgraded item. Those need different progression checks.
