Build a short farm record

1. Write the item name and the specific version or roll you would accept.
2. Open the item’s source entry and distinguish a dedicated source from a general world-drop claim.
3. Record each eligible attempt, completion time and result. Count a failure rather than restarting the sample after every success.
4. Compare total time, including travel and setup, before choosing between two routes. A faster fight is not necessarily a faster farming loop.

How the probability calculator works

If each independent attempt has a fixed drop probability p, the chance of at least one success after n attempts is 1 − (1 − p)^n. At an illustrative 10% chance per attempt, ten attempts give about 65.1%, not 100%. This is mathematics, not a verified drop rate for a particular weapon.

Enter a rate only when you have an appropriate source. The model does not cover guaranteed rewards, pity rules, dependent rolls or changing event modifiers. A result of 95% still permits a dry streak.

Check the route after an update

If the source page changes, preserve your earlier sample as historical. Do not combine attempts from different drop tables into one percentage without a clear label. If a target item needs paid content, check your ownership before investing in the farm.
