Begin with the exact item record
Search the community Dune database using the complete schematic or item name. A similar icon or a shared name fragment is not enough: the record may describe a component, a recipe or the finished equipment. Note the item type before planning a farming route.

Record the evidence before the trip
| Field | Why it belongs in the note |
|---|---|
| Exact item and tier | Separates similarly named versions. |
| Schematic or finished item | Determines what you are actually trying to obtain. |
| Source type | Distinguishes a fixed vendor, a recipe, a container and a player report. |
| Mode, date and map cycle | Prevents old multiplayer coordinates being reused as current solo data. |
| Source link | Lets you return to the original claim after a patch. |
A repeatable farming record
- Open the item record, then follow its own source or recipe references. Do not infer a drop location from a crafting ingredient.
- For a Deep Desert claim, compare its cycle with the current map. If no cycle is shown, treat the location as a lead.
- Log attempts and actual outcomes. Keep failed trips in the sample; deleting them inflates the apparent drop rate.
- Set a trip budget for time and replaceable equipment. Stop or change route when the evidence no longer matches the location.
What a small sample cannot establish
Three successes in ten attempts describes those ten attempts. It does not prove the next attempt has a 30% chance, and a long dry streak does not establish that a drop has been removed. A verified patch note or an updated source table is stronger evidence for a changed loot rule.
